Celebration with mom!

Went for a haircut today and then had lunch with mom. Birthday lunch!
I'm kinda guilty for not being with her on the day itself, but as always, she was very understanding and din't mind it at all (or so she says). Neither did she insist on having lunch with me. She had suggested one, saying that if I wanted to go for lunch together to celebrate, just call her. And so I did!
We had Jack's Place and then I went with her to stock up some groceries. Lol...when we first went in she was like "no need to buy...nothing I need" but then when we came out the trolley was like 1/3 full.
Then I drove her back home and I tugged my luggage into the flat. I don't know how it can be so heavy when I've only packed like 1/4 of it full. O.O Aniwaes, I did some more packing at home and then we ate the cake!
Haha it cake was so cute. It was really small, the kind that she used to buy for my breakfast in secondary school. I'm surprised that they still sell it! Yummy! Thanks mom for going all the way to Tiong Bahru to help me buy that, and for going all the way to the Post Office (behind my back) to help collect my parcel. =) May you leg get better k!
Ja, I'm go do some homework first! I heard from Mark that our 306 tutor is strict but good, and that my class has a lot of dean listers. STRESSED.

ARGH!!!!
This morning, they dropped the bomb on me. Well, the group had wanted to have the interview on Fri, but then I informed them that I won't be able to make it. So, we tried to change to Wed. And so we did.
So why am I so stressed up?
First of all, I see no rationale. I mean, if it's that all four of us will be able to go on Wed, then fine. But no! Someone can't make it on Wed, just like I can't make it on Fri. So what's the difference? What's the use of shifting it forward?! Worse still, FORWARD. FORWARD. When we haven't even settled on the interview questions. When I haven't even thought about any questions. Because we were supposed to compile the questions on Thurs. And worse still, now someone can't make it for the compilation of questions.
What's the point of bringing forward, really, when all it seems to do is make us all stressed and perhaps give substandard suggestions due to time limit.
And I spent like an hour on TWO multiple choice AA306 questions. And didn't get any answer. I am so dead.
I felt so much like crying the whole day!!!!!!!!

haha I had like a very slack weekend in spite of me having planned to catch up on last wk's seminars and readings and to do in advanace next wk's. Well, I'm planning a weekend getaway for my birthday so I don't wanna do any work next wkend!
But, I totally wasted this weekend.
I went for ktv with kaminari yesterday afternoon, where we hiad a different kind of fun...they were so serious. Maya printed out romanji lyrics and Charmaine loaded the lyrics into her hp. And most of the time we sang the parts our members sang. O.o So it ended up like the real thing, with ppl singing harmony even. It was the first time, though, that we managed to do rap songs coz in the past when I went with Angeline and gang, no one could rap. A different ktv experience.
After that, I rushed to Changi Japanese Primary School. The queue for tix was sooo long. Fortunately, Angline had advance tixs so we went in quite early. Got one of the last few tix for yukata renting. The time taken to wear it was sooo much shorter than the kimono..and less constraining in terms of movement...but still, it was quite warm and I was sweating...So, it was then that I realised the use for uchiwas. =)
I wandered off alone at times to give Angeline and her bf some time alone, and also to get away from my source of irritant....it was a bit bored at first, so I spent alot of time just eating, walking around and looking at nice yukatas, hairstyles, and cute kids running around!
Oh, there were really good looking guys too, especially those in yukatas! HAHA I must try to go for a natsu matsuri when I go Tokyo!
The performances in the evening were great too and had a good mixture of folk, kiddish (think Uta no Oniisan) and hip. Though, I was horrified when Nobody played during a perf. I'm like so sick of the song already.
So, I got home tired and needing sleep...so, work had to wait for the next day right?
And the next day, I went for lunch with Samantha, Sihui, Yonghao, Jianyong and Jiayang. It was a simple meal, and planned for today coz I woqqn't be in Singapore on my birthday. I suggested movie, and coincidentally, Jianyong had suggested the same too. So, we ended up watching it!
Had wanted to watch it because of Sandra Bullock, my favourite actress. True to my expectations, she did really well in the movie. That the male lead was so cute (yes, cute, not handsome) was a bonus. The plot was funny too, though with a bit of nudity. Well, tastefully done of course, not like the Harold and Kumar or whatever thing.
Then after that, I went to Sheraton to treat gf and family to dinner, in case they complain that I'm spending the weekend with friends and will not be in Singapore on my birthday.
So, I ate two cakes today, both super fattening. One was filled with sooo much cream (with Sam and gang) and the other with thick chocolate (with gm). Both are soooo yummy! But other than the taste, I was really glad that they knew what I liked. That's what matters most ne.
And, to shuwen (hopefully you read this), in case you're planning to call me again, please note that I'll be in the air from 11pm 27 Aug to 8am 28 Aug. ^_^

I acted as guide to cw today! Haha the new freshie! Taught him to print stuff (yes, it's a knowledge k!) and brought him all around his classroom venues. So, in return he treated lunch at IMM. Had wanted to go Clementi for some Hokkien noodles he said was very delicious, but he made a wrong turn and went to IMM instead. There, we had bak chor mee, which was really pathetic in portion. So in the end we still went to Clementi for the Hokkien mee.
It was really good! I was too full after bak chor mee and yoghurt and chin chow so I didn't get to try. But I'll go there one day coz I stole a bit from cw and it was really worthed the 15 min wait!
Oh and I finally bought the plastic frame for my poster, but was too small! I bought A1 but it turned out that the size should be B1 instead. =.= Wasted my money! And the thing is, I didn't see any that was bigger than A1. Hmm gotta return there to find! Anyhows, I still put up one poster. XD I used the frame as backing and put the poster into the plastic sheet covering the frame...but the top part of the poster is exposed so....it's not very pretty. =/
Oh and I received an advance birthday present today! Well, though it's not really suitable, but it's the thought that counts ne. I was really very happy when I received it. So touched!

Had lunch with Angeline today at Central before we walked around a bit..Had wanted to buy a yukata for the natsu matsuri on 22nd, but it was way too ex...in the end we ended up chatting. Haven't done that in a while but it was so natural! Gotta do that again some day.
Then it was movies (HP) at ps with yy and cw. Right before the movie, I received a call from Michelle at DT. An offer! Strange coz I was discussing that with Mark just a day ago regarding this...and our prefered career (tax v audit)....so now what? Should I accept? It's like so soon! Less than a month since the internship ended and still a year from graduation! Should I get tied up so soon? Am I sure I want to work in this field, in this firm?
Argh!
Aniwaes I'm really fed up with the state of things now so I'm gonna put an end to it soon.

Why Kaminari 雷? Because Thunder follows Storm. 嵐の中に雷がいる。
It started with an innocent comment made during work. I was bored, and it seemed fun...
But I didn't expect to get into the team, coz my singing, while not like Jun, is not Ohno either.
So we got together, sang, and sent. That was just 2 weeks ago.
Suddenly, everything started moving so quickly. We made it through, and we've got to learn the dance moves.
For the past week, we've practiced almost everyday.
And today, the big day.
Though we didn't get through, it was fun! Really. And I learnt quite alot. I'm glad I made the reckless move.

Aniwaes, tomorrow is the big day. Had signed up for fun, out of boredome...but we ended up getting into semi-finals. Hopefully it'd be good tomorrow! At least even if we can't get into finals, make the perf a decent one!

Oh btw I watched Lost and Found with yonghao today. Free tix complimentary from the Korean Embassy! The film opens the Korean Film Festival...quite a funny show. Enjoyed it pretty much....coz it's not really like the typical korean movie. Plus, the two leads are good looking!! Haha...though one of them have a really long neck that makes him look like a giraffee.

Then I got jealous of someone I knew for ages, whom I proclaim to be a very important person.
Then I ruin it all by behaving like a PMS-ing mood swing filld idiot.
I'm just so irritated. At myself thinking too much.

Oh yar, forgot to write that shuwen's treat at Grand Copthorne's buffet dinner was fabulous! Haven't been to a buffet for ages, but that one was so yummy, esp the desserts! Shuwen and I can be dessert buddies and grow fat together.
------------------------Internship is ending

Today's 'last' day (tmr is, actually, but tomorrow's all about clearance and presentations) and I kinda feel sad to leave...
I think it's because the people here at this engagement are really nice. Of course the previous 2 engagements were nice too,but this one is the best, I feel. My type of lameness. XP And the Senior Manager, the Assistant Managers are really nice...not that I've interacted much with them, but from the way I see them talk to the team, I get the feeling that they're like us who are still down there working our way up. The way they speak...the informal tone and choice of words. The complaining...the occassional joke and witty remarks...YCC asking if we wanted drinks when he went to the pantry...
There isn't much for me to help out with now, so I'm just doing up my internship logbook and the presentation (argh). May everything (the presentation) work out well tmr, coz it's so rushed. =/
Oh, and yesterday was Wednesday the 15th. Not Friday the 13th, but just as disasterous for me.
The sliding doors of my wardrobe got stuck in the morning (it still is, so I had to ask gm to squeeze into the wardrobe through the small space to help me get my clothes for today).
I rushed back to office for the project meeting at 630 only to wait till 8 for it to really start, and then there were periods of distractions so it ended only at 1030, with disproportional amount of work being done.
I was filling up my air humidifier with water and when I took the container away from the sink, it slipped and fell (with full force of at least 2 litres of water) onto my left hand's middle finger. It was so bad that I could immediately see blue/green colour of the vein running through the middle joint of the finger. That part totally swelled up and running a finger across the surfce I could feel an obvious bulge, which is still there now. I thought that a vein burst or sth! Now it's still as painful, still swollen, and the joints enclosing the part are of a dark brown, with the middle swollen part a lighter brown.
So unlucky.
Oh and I got the part of the presentation that I'm so unacquainted with, and will only have the info in by tonight. For tmrs presentation. I guess I have to research on my own first.
Super unlucky day.
