What's the big deal?

Haven't blogged in a looooooooong while, so here I am with some complaints. (Yeah I know, what a way to 'come back')
I've sent my documents for the exchange in Yonsei, but then I realised something, which is that most probably the transcript from Yonsei will not reach NTU on time for NTU to process it for convo. Meaning, if I went, I wouldn't be able to attend convo.
That brings me to my complaint.
What's with the convo?
Why does everyone put such significance on a ceremony?
But I guess this question has no answer, just as is the case for the question of the need to sign a marriage paper.
It's all just a 'show', a ceremony...but everyone is so concerned about attending it, going through this special moment.
I can't be bothered now. Will wait for Yonsei to respond in Dec before I make a decision.
Another thing. The results for AA301 Business Analysis and Valuation quiz was released yesterday, and surprisingly, I got a D. I meant that in a positive way. Remember I posted something about me thinking, for the first time ever, "Will I get a zero on this? Will I end up with a blank answer sheet?" Yeah. That's the quiz in question. And surprisingly, Sam, who I thought managed to answer more, got lower than I did. O.O This is odd. But this proves that if you don't give up and continued to work hard despite being engulfed by despair, you'll be rewarded with a small miracle. The question was on leases, and the only answer I wrote was on depreciation. And yet I passed! Amazing!
I had AA306 consol quiz today, and I didn't manage to finish the question. For part 2 of the question, we had to come up with the consol income statement and balance sheet. I made a mistake by consolidating the associate in the consolidated income statement, and by the time I got about editing that, I had no time for the balance sheet already, meaning 20 marks from the quiz is gone. But well, it'll all over.
And, lastly, happy birthday mommy!
